is the m1 grand some how a related series to the m16 or m4?
i was just wondering because the m4 m16 m14 and other guns that start with an m are like upgraded forms of the m1 grand …
correct me if i’m wrong.
M in this case stands for Military…meaning its a military weapon. the m14 is related to the m1, but the m4/16 are completely different weapons.
btw to cory’s answer: all m4s and theri varients (currently the only one is the m4a1) have a telescoping butt stock…the m16 and ALL varients of it (from the a1 to the a4) are fixed. barrel length really has nothing to do with it, since you can throw anything from a 10 inch (shortest ive seen) to a full m16 length barrel on and m4 and it would still be an m4.
