What is the difference between a student guitar and a regular one?

Ok, well I`m planning to get a Lauren Classical Guitar ( which is a beginner guitar), and i want to know the difference between a beginner (student) guitar and a regular one. I know student guitars are more for learning the chords and things like that, but can u still play on it? Like songs and stuff? anything please??

Unless you’re interested in playing classical music, don’t buy a classical guitar. Get a steel string flattop acoustic guitar instead – they are much more versatile and can be used for rock, pop, country, folk, and more. There are lots of inexpensive beginners’ steel string acoustic guitars out there.

“Student guitar” is a meaningless term that’s typically used to indicate a cheap, crappy beginners’ guitar. Often they are not even full size guitars.

Buy your guitar at a guitar store and nowhere else.
